We use technology in every aspect of life – sometimes without knowing the proper name of what technology we so often take for granted.  An example of this is Bluetooth technology.  Bluetooth is the official name of the technology that enables communications among computers, telephones, and other peripherals without the need for cables.  It basically employs the use of short-range or short distance radio signals to communicate.  This technology is widely used around the world, and examples are headsets used for speaking on cell phones while driving, transferring files to and from computers, making copies from computer to copier or printer, downloading files from the internet, or any other application that requires data consistency from one device to another.

This technology is free and that makes it the most popular option for wireless electronic transmissions that includes a high level of security.  Bluetooth has the ability to handle both data and voice transmissions enabling one to perform more tasks with multi-media or smart phones and other devices that incorporate Bluetooth chips or radios.

Because of its simplicity and availability, Bluetooth technology is incorporated by manufacturers into many Bluetooth enabled devices quickly, effectively, and at affordable prices.  The devices are tiny and make them perfect for hands-free headsets for cell phones and audio devices.  Bluetooth technology is easy to use with many instances being simply to turn on Bluetooth devices and pressing a button or key to send data.   Read the rest of this entry »
